Phase 1 SEL Advisory Group

The Phase 1 SEL Advisory Group was composed of students, educators, community-based organizations, state agencies, school districts, and education service districts. The charge of the group was to provide a report to the State Board of Education (SBE) describing a preliminary description of the SEL Framework and Standards for K-12 public students in Oregon that will be considered when the SBE adopts the SEL Framework and Standards in September 2023. 

The report was submitted to SBE on September 15, 2022. The recommendations presented in the report will inform the adoption of a statewide Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) framework and learning standards for public school students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
