Phase 2 SEL Advisory Group

The Phase 2 SEL Advisory Group will work with ODE to create the first SEL Framework and Standards for Oregon public school students in kindergarten through 12th grade. The Phase 2 SEL Advisory Group will be guided by ODE’s Equity Stance, ODE’s Integrated Model of Mental Health and the beliefs and values articulated in the Whereas statements of HB 2166 (section 4). We will build from the Phase 1 SEL Advisory Group’s Preliminary Description of the Proposed Social Emotional Learning
Standards Framework for Oregon: HB 2166 Report submitted to the State Board of Education on September 15, 2022. The SEL Framework and Standards developed by the Phase 2 SEL Advisory Group will be adopted by the State Board of Education no later than September of 2023 and implemented in Oregon public schools in July of 2024.

Public Meeting Announcement

All meetings of the Phase 2 SEL Advisory Group: Framework and Standards are open to the public and will conform to Oregon public meetings laws. The meeting schedule, agendas and recordings from past meetings will be posted below.
