Engineering Design is a learning process alongside Science Inquiry in the 2009 Oregon Science Standards. Engineering Design provides students an additional way to learn science and see how it is used to solve real-world problems. The new Oregon 2014 Science Standards (Next Generation Science Standards) take science inquiry and engineering design a step further by articulating scientific and engineering practices and integrating them into performance expectations. Following the links below will bring you to free professional development materials and sample lessons that are aligned to Oregon standards.
