Alternative Education Laws and Rules

Oregon Law defines Alternative Education as a school or separate class group designed to best serve students' educational needs and interests and assist students in achieving the academic standards of the school district and the state ORS 336.615

Assurance of Compliance with OAR, Division 22

Districts annually assure that they are in compliance with and implementing Chapter 581, Division 22, of the Oregon Administrative Rules. This page provides guidance to districts for amending the assurance when necessary to include a plan for compliance with OAR 581-022-1350, Alternative Education Programs.
