State Summer Learning Grants

Overview

HB 4082 provides $30 million for Summer Learning Grants to school districts, charter schools, and ESDs for the summer of 2024. These grant funds are to be focused on serving historically underserved students for applicants with pre-existing plans for summer programming while prioritizing collaboration with community partners and tribal nations.

HB 4082 also supports a plan for the future by creating a study that provides recommendations for a sustainable state-funded summer learning plan, ensuring equitable access and funding mechanisms, proposing outcome metrics, streamlining grant administration, incentivizing partnerships, and establishing best practices. An interim report on the study was submitted to the Legislature on 9.15.24.

This page is regularly updated and will contain all grant information, documents, communications, webinar details, and additional resources as they become available.
