Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Program
The Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant (JAIBG) Program is based on Title III of H.R. 3, The Juvenile Accountability Block Grants Act of 1997, as passed by the House of Representatives on May 8, 1997. The purpose of the JAIBG Program is to provide States and units of local government with funds to develop programs to promote greater accountability in the juvenile justice system.

Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention
OJJDP is committed to provide national leadership, coordination, and resources to prevent and respond to juvenile delinquency and victimization. OJJDP accomplishes this by supporting States and local communities in their efforts to develop and implement effective and coordinated prevention and intervention programs and improve the juvenile justice system so that it protects the public safety, holds offenders accountable, and provides treatment and rehabilitative services tailored to the needs of families and each individual juvenile.

Special Education and the Juvenile Justice System is intended to inform judges, attorneys, advocates, probation officers, institutional staff, and other youth-serving professionals about the impact of special education issues on juvenile justice matters.
