ODE - USDA Foods Program Course

Mandatory or Optional?

Anyone responsible for ordering and receiving USDA Foods will be required to take the online 'ODE - USDA Foods Program Overview' training course before they are given access to USDA Foods ordering systems (WBSCM, Gold Star Foods, FFAVORS). ODE may also assign this course as required technical assistance.


Description

Basic Introductory course for food service directors and managers operating the USDA Foods Program through National School Lunch Program, Summer Food Service Program, or Child & Adult Care Food Program. This is an online course consisting of 6 modules and a quiz.

CEUs

Agencies that pass the quiz with 70% will receive a certificate of completion worth 3 hours for USDA Foods professional standards.

How do I enroll in the course?

It’s easy! Follow these steps:

  1. Create a free Oregon Workday Extended Enterprise Learner account in the Workday Account Creation webpage. New account job aid.Tip- Before trying to login, make sure you selected "Oregon Department of Education" under affiliation when you created your account.
  2. Use Google Chrome and make sure you login from the State of Oregon Workday login page. Bookmark this page.
  3. Search for course title by clicking ‘browse learning content’, then type ‘ ODE USDA Foods’ in search box, select course and ‘enroll’.
  4. To complete the course you will need to keep re-taking quiz until you pass with 70%. After that a certification of completion will be available for 3 hours of USDA Foods CEU’s for USDA Professional Standards.
