Ready Schools, Safe Learners: Guidance for the 2020-21 School Year

The Ready Schools, Safe Learners guidance includes specific health metrics that must be met in order for schools to fully reopen to in-person instruction. The tools on this page give an outline of those metrics plus the most recent data available by county.

Latest Metrics from OHA
This report compiled by the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) shows the case counts, case rates and percent positivity rates - for the state as a whole and by county - since the end of July.

School Metrics Dashboard
A tool developed by the Willamette Education Service District in conjunction with ODE and OHA. It allows the user to tell at a glance whether the county is currently meeting the metrics required for in-person instruction.

Metrics Explainer
This graphic provides an easy way to determine the metrics needed for in-person instruction and the allowable exceptions that permit schools to have students on-site even when state and county metrics would not otherwise allow it.
