School to Work: This project recognizes and celebrates efforts of local school to work partners across the country who are committed to doing "whatever it takes" to ensure access to and choice by all learners within their local school to work system.
The Arc: The national organization of and for people with mental retardation and related developmental disabilities and their families.
Association for Career and Technical Education: ACTE is the largest national education association dedicated to the advancement of education that prepares youth and adults for careers.
Center on Education and Work: The Center's work enables educators to engage youth and adults in learning and career development experiences that lead to meaningful and productive careers.
Disability Info: This web site is the result of a collaborative effort of several federal agencies and includes information on civil rights, education, employment, housing, health care, technology and transportation. It is designed to be a one-stop source of government information for individuals with disabilities, their families, employers and service providers.
National Center for Accessible Information Technology in Education: This center at the University of Washington serves to increase the access of individuals with disabilities to information technology in educational institutions at all academic levels nationwide.
National Center for the Dissemination of Disability Research: This center funds 300 projects annually that include a wide range of research topics including but not limited to 1) employment outcomes; 2) health and function; 3) technology for access and function; 4) associated disability research and more!
National Center on Physical Activity and Disability: This website is operated by the Department of Disability and Human Development at the Univ. of Illinois at Chicago and is dedicated to the belief that exercise is for everybody and that having a disability does not mean that you cannot be healthy.
National Center on Secondary Education and Transition: The National Center on Secondary Education and Transition seeks to increase the capacity of national, state and local agencies and organizations to improve secondary education and transition results for youth with disabilities and their families. NCSET has two newsletters that are also of great assistance. The Information Brief addresses trends and developments in secondary education and transition. The Parent Brief promotes effective parent involvement in secondary education and transition.
National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability for Youth: The National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability for Youth is one of two technical assistance centers funded by the Department of Labor to assist the workforce development community in addressing issues affecting the employment of people with disabilities.
National Rehabilitation Information Center: The NARIC website provides information on disability and rehabilitation though online publications, searchable databases and timely reference and referral data.
National Spinal Cord Injury Statistical Center: This center supervises and directs the collection, management and analysis of the world's largest spinal cord injury database.
The Rehabilitation Research and Training Center: This Center hopes to move beyond what has and has not worked in the past, towards a new system of educational supports for people with disabilities.
Through the Looking Glass: This nationally recognized center has pioneered research, training and services for families in which a child, parent or grandparent has a disability or medical issue.
Transition Curriculum: This web section houses a library of educational materials available for the general school population and students with disabilities.
