Medical, Food, Cash and Child Care Benefits

How to apply

You can apply for medical, food, cash and child care benefits online, by phone or in person. Use this checklist to see what you'll need to apply.


Apply online

You will need to create a ONE Online account when you apply online.

By phone

Call 800-699-9075

Call the ONE Customer Service Center M-F from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific Time. You can also call a local office to apply.

With a ONE Online account you can:

  • Apply for benefits and check your application status
  • Renew your benefits
  • Upload documents, report changes and update contact information
  • View messages, find eligibility notices and manage appointments

You can use the Oregon ONE Mobile app to manage your current benefits, view messages, upload documents and more. If you need help with the mobile app, call 833-978-1073 (Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific Time).

Medical coverage

Oregon Health Plan is Oregon's Medicaid program. Other medical benefits may include long-term care services and help paying Medicare costs. 


SNAP food benefits

The SNAP program provides monthly benefits to help people buy food. Benefits are usually issued on an electronic benefit transfer (EBT) card.


Cash benefits

TANF provides cash benefits to low-income families and new parents. Benefits are usually issued on an electronic benefit transfer (EBT) card.

TA-DVS helps domestic violence survivors with temporary cash benefits if their safety is at risk.

Refugee services including cash assistance are available for refugees when they first arrive in Oregon.


Child care assistance

Employment Related Day Care helps families who are working or in school pay for child care. This is a subsidy program, which means that some families still pay part of the child care cost.
