About This Measure
Sufficient funding for the transportation system is foundational to all the other goals laid out in the Strategic Action Plan, because none of our other efforts can be achieved without robust investment. Our goal is to increase total funding for all modes of Oregon’s transportation system by 2025. In order to achieve this, we will drive toward implementation of tolling in the Portland metro region, continue developing large-scale road usage charging, and work with Oregon’s congressional delegation to advocate for increased federal funding.
We will measure our success based on amounts of additional state and federal transportation funding created due to changes in appropriations by Congress or state funds from new or increased taxes or fees. Funding is broken down by type and by year. This measure doesn’t include changes in revenue due to external factors such as the economy, demographics, technology, or other factors.
