Region 2: Willamette Valley and Northwest Oregon (Vernonia, Washington)

The is a bridge replacement project.  The current bridge will be removed and a new bridge reconstructed at the same location.

Impacts

Construction Impacts

OR 47 at Beaver Creek open to traffic

VERNONIA—OR 47 at the Beaver Creek Bridge is now open to all traffic.
However, over the next few months there will be work taking place near the bridge so travelers need to proceed with caution through the area.  Periodically, two way traffic will be flagged as construction continues next to the bridge.   Expect some minor delays.
OR 47 has been closed just south of Vernonia since August 6 so the contractor could replace the old and narrow bridge that was in poor condition.
The project included removing the old bridge and reconstructing a new one it its place. The work also includes paving, installing drainage, storm water facilities and retaining wall. Some work will continue around the site after the road is reopened.
