Metrics and quality measures are used by the Oregon Health Authority to determine whether Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) are effectively and adequately improving care, making quality care accessible, eliminating health disparities, and controlling costs for the populations they serve.
The Metrics and Scoring Committee was established in 2012 by Senate Bill 1580 for the purpose of recommending outcomes and quality measures for CCOs.
The Dental Quality Metrics Workgroup has been convened as a working group of the Metrics and Scoring Committee, charged with recommending objective outcome and quality measures and benchmarks for oral health services provided by CCOs to the committee.
