Karen Levy

Karen Levy leads a wide range of consulting projects in diverse settings that utilize her expertise and fulfill her passion for improving health and creating meaningful and lasting change for communities. Karen specializes in community health assessment and improvement planning, strategic planning, and facilitation. Karen approaches her work through a health equity lens, and focuses on community outreach and engagement. She is known for being adept at working with diverse stakeholders, establishing rapport and facilitating productive group processes.

Karen has guided many health departments, in coordination with their local CCOs and other partners, to develop shared community health assessment and improvement plans. Karen also serves as the coalition coordinator for the Linn Benton Health Equity Alliance, leading efforts to recognize and address health disparities. She works closely with populations who experience disparities and helps to develop capacity across the spectrum of community partners, including county health departments, local and regional CCO and associated community advisory committees and work groups, Early Learning HUB, and nonprofit organizations. Prior to her work as a consultant, Karen conducted qualitative research on health disparities and discrimination in health care at Oregon State University.
