Early learning systems and strategies

Monday, January 01, 0001

Early learning services are those services provided to children and their families to support growth and development from birth to age five or kindergarten entry. In Oregon, regional Early Learning Hubs are directed by statute to accomplish three specific goals: (1) create an early childhood system that is aligned, coordinated and family centered; (2) ensure children arrive at school ready to succeed; and (3) ensure Oregon’s young children live in families that are healthy, stable and attached. Enhancing strategies and improving coordination between CCOs and early learning services support improved metrics, increased patient and family engagement, increased capacity to address child and family well-being, and coordinated services to CCO members ages 0-5 to achieve mutual health goals.
