REALD for Phase 1 Providers

What is a Phase 1 Provider?

Phase 1 providers are the following types of health care providers. They were required to begin collecting and reporting REALD data in accordance with REALD standards and Oregon Disease Reporting rules on October 1, 2020:

  • Hospitals except for licensed psychiatric hospitals.
  • Health care providers within a health system.
  • Health care providers working in a federally qualified health center.

Visit the REALD for Providers page for REALD rules, guidelines and other implementation resources for all providers. Learning opportunities for Phase 1 providers are listed below.

OHA will host office hours for Phase 1 providers to ask REALD questions. OHA's first office hour will be held January 26, 2021, from noon to 1 p.m.

OHA's template and guidance for Phase 1 providers explains what providers need to submit if they are unable to begin REALD data collection and reporting on October 1, 2020.

OHA's December 7, 2020 memo provides more information about expectations for enforcement timing and compliance for Phase 1 providers.
