Oregon State Hospital hiring in Junction City

Tuesday, August 3, 2021

Oregon State Hospital (OSH) is opening two more 24-bed units on its Junction City Campus. To be ready to open this fall, OSH is hiring for a variety of positions – including nursing staff, clinicians, custodians and food service workers. See below for a full list of positions.

“This is an exciting opportunity," said OSH Superintendent Dolly Matteucci. “We're hoping to get the word out to our future co-workers. If you want to make a difference in people's lives, fill out an application."

Oregon State Hospital is a psychiatric facility that serves people from all parts of Oregon. The Junction City campus is located 17 miles from Eugene and 57 miles from Salem. The campus has six 24-bed units; however, only three have been operational since it opened in 2015 and a fourth operational since 2016. In June of this year, the Oregon State Legislature allocated $31 million to open the two remaining units.

“This is a wonderful place to work," said Deputy Chief Nursing Officer Lindsay Sande, who has worked on the Junction City Campus since before it opened. “We have a special community here where everyone – from the doctors and nurses to food service workers and custodians – plays an essential role in our patients' path to wellness."
