To honor diversity, practice acceptance, and express self-pride for members of the LGBTQ+ community, Oregon State Hospital recently hosted a PRIDE celebration for its patients and staff.
The event featured arts and crafts, face painting, a photo booth, games and music. Community partners, including Basic Rights Oregon, the Center for Hope and Safety, and the Oregon Department of Veteran’s Affairs, shared information.
For more information about the celebration, listen to part of the welcome speech by Nina Perard, diversity liaison for the hospital.
