Board of Electrologists and Body Art Practitioners Proposed Administrative Rules for Water Resource Requirements

​The Board of Electrologists and Body Art Practitioners, under the Health Licensing Office, has filed proposed rules with the Oregon Secretary of State. The rule is needed to clarify that all body art facilities, where individuals licensed to perform earlobe piercing services, have unrestricted access to hot and cold running water.

The proposed rules will be published in the May 2022, Oregon Bulletin.

You are invited to review the proposed rules and submit comments from May 1, 2022, through 12 p.m. (noon) on May 28, 2022. To submit your comments by way of email, send to Samie Patnode at: samie.patnode@dhsoha.state.or.us

A public rule hearing has been scheduled on May 17, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Stakeholders can participate:

  • In person at the Health Licensing Office Board Room, 1430 Tandem Ave. NE, Suite 180, Salem, OR 97301; or
  • By telephone conference call by calling 503-934-3605 and entering participant code 791607.

Permanent administrative rules are anticipated to become effective on June 1, 2022.
