Agriculture Workforce Housing Tax Credits, 2022

The Agriculture Workforce Housing Tax Credit (AWHTC) program is part of an ongoing effort to address the shortage of available housing for the agriculture workforce in Oregon. The program is designed to offset the costs associated with construction, installation, acquisition, or rehabilitation of housing for agricultural workers.

The Oregon State Legislature has given OHCS authority to allocate a biennial amount of tax credits totaling $16.75 million (see 2021 HB 2433). OHCS has set aside up to $1.67 million for On-Farm uses. Any remaining unreserved on-farm tax credits will be made available to community-based projects on September 30, 2022.
