OHCS Home / Housing Affordability Study

Housing Affordability Study

In 2018, the state legislature passed Oregon House Bill 4006, which appropriated funds to conduct a study on the cost of affordable housing in Oregon. The Oregon Housing and Community Services Department (OHCS) is conducting the study, intended to identify the factors that influence the cost of building affordable housing in the state.

As part of the data collection process for the study, OHCS (in partnership with the Blue Sky Consulting Group, the research firm engaged to assist with the study) is conducting a survey of affordable and market rate housing developers. This survey is intended to gather information about the characteristics of projects as well as the developers who built them.

The developer survey is available online here.

Should you have any questions about this project or the survey, please contact Mitch Hannoosh, the project manager for this project. Mitch can be reached at (503) 986-2038 or via email at Mitchell.Hannoosh@oregon.gov.
