Position Paper on irrigation released

The Oregon Commission on Historic Cemeteries' most recent position paper addresses irrigation and mowing in historic cemeteries. Often historic cemeteries must balance preservation of the historic character and monuments with sales and public perception. The commission recommends avoiding regular irrigation in most historic cemeteries. See the paper to understand their approach. Also, the National Park Service offers a fun graphic comic about the topic.
