Milo McIver State Park

About Milo McIver State Park

Only 45-minutes from the greater Portland area, the park sits along the banks of the Clackamas River. Visitors come for the paddling, fishing, hiking, horse trails, world-class disc golf course and camping.

Project

Because of its closeness to the state's largest metropolitan area and the continuing popularity of the park, this project will add more camping capacity. The project includes:

  • Adding additional overnight sites and a restroom and shower facility.
  • Upgrade the park sewer and water supply systems.

The current general obligation bond estimate is $3-5 million.

General Obligation Bonds Overview

The 2021 Oregon Legislature passed SB 5506 that approved general obligation bonds to revitalize parks and campgrounds. The Oregon State Parks and Recreation Commission approved a preliminary list of projects in November 2021.

The project at Milo McIver State Park was one of the projects approved to receive funds from bond sales.
