Oregon Outdoor Recreation Committee meeting set April 19

Salem, OR-- The Oregon Outdoor Recreation Committee will meet to evaluate grant applications from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 19 in Salem. The meeting will be in room 124A in the North Mall Office Building, 725 Summer St. N.E.

The committee will hear presentations on 13 Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) grant proposals. The LWCF grants provide matching grants to state and local governments for acquiring and developing public outdoor recreation areas and facilities. Since 1964, this federal grant program has awarded more than $55 million for Oregon recreational areas and facilities.
