Public meetings for central coast state parks set for February

Feb. 17, 2015

​Public meetings for state parks on the central Oregon coast are scheduled for Feb. 18 and Feb. 26.

Park staff with Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) will present planning concepts and listen to public comments related to long-term planning for coastal state parks between Lincoln City and Yachats, including Fogarty Creek State Recreation Area, Beverly Beach State Park, South Beach State Park and Yachats State Recreation Area. The planning process will help guide management of these parks for the next 15-20 years.

Meetings are scheduled as follows:

Wednesday, Feb. 18
1-4 p.m., Advisory Committee. This portion of the meeting is open to the public; however, only comments from the advisory committee will be heard.
5:30-7:30 p.m. General public
Beverly Beach State Park Meeting Hall
198 NE 123rd Street, five miles north of Newport

Thursday, Feb. 26
5:30-7:30 p.m., General public
OPRD Headquarters, Room 124
