About the Sparky Awards

Each year, the Oregon State Fire Marshal awards people for achievements with the Golden and Silver Sparky Awards.

• Golden Sparky: Recognizes a fire service member or fire agency for outstanding fire prevention or public safety education achievement.
• Silver Sparky: Recognizes a civilian or civilian agency for outstanding achievement in fire prevention or public safety education.
