The Oregon Office of State Fire Marshal's smoke alarm installation program provides smoke alarms to Oregon fire agencies to install in residences without them. Training is required for agencies to participate in the program, and for agencies who have not taken the training since 2017.
The OSFM is a certified continuing education provider through the Oregon real estate agency. The OSFM offers training on smoke and carbon monoxide alarm statutes and rules and how they impact your clients.
This series offers 30-minute interactive webinars to hone your skills and increase your understanding of effective prevention practices. The OSFM has also developed a monthly messaging guide, FireSafe, that provides a calendar for prevention messaging topics as well as social media elements to use across multiple platforms.
