Oregon’s Food Security and Farmworker Safety Program provides assistance to Oregon’s agricultural producers in order to help secure Oregon’s food supply chain and protect essential agricultural workers from COVID-19 exposure and illness.
The COVID-19 emergency caused Oregon’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OR-OSHA) to issue
temporary rules requiring increased field sanitation measures and more stringent labor housing and transportation regulations. The Food Security and Farmworker Safety Program provides financial assistance to comply with these increased measures during peak harvest.
Agricultural producers are responsible for complying with COVID-19 emergency OR-OSHA requirements for Housing, Transporation, and Field Sanitation. Producers faced with additional costs because of this can apply for assistance in any or all categories. There is no need to fill out a separate application for each;
a single application will cover all 3 categories.Application

Agricultural producers faced with additional housing-related costs in order to comply with the COVID-19 emergency OR-OSHA requirements are eligible to apply for assistance, provided that you have exhausted available employer-provided housing and maintain OR-OSHA compliance.
Agricultural producers (employers) who are impacted by OSHA’s temporary rules requiring increased physical distancing for transportation.
Agricultural producers who are impacted by OSHA’s temporary rules requiring increased field sanitation are eligible to apply.
Find resources for face coverings and personal protective equipment (PPE), community-based outreach and prevention, and the Quarantine Fund. Resources are provided by various agencies.
