Critical Groundwater Allocations
CURRENT ACTIONS
The rules for allocation of groundwater in the Butter Creek and Stage Gulch Critical Groundwater Areas (CGWAs) require any groundwater user, except domestic users, who intend to pump groundwater during the year 2019, make a request to the Department in Salem by July 1, 2018.  The following letters and allocation request forms were mailed to all permitted users of record in these two CGWAs in late May, 2018:

The Oregon Water Resources Department is continuing an investigation of the groundwater resources in the Butter Creek and Stage Gulch Critical Ground Water Areas. Department personnel conduct an inventory each February that includes water level measurements, reading flow and power meters, and pump specifications in each CGWA.
The following tables present 2017 and 2018 data. The groundwater level change for the one year period is presented for each well. Annual pumpage is calculated for each well and totaled for each subarea.
