1099-Rs to be mailed

By the end of January 2023, PERS will mail Internal Revenue Service Form 1099-R for tax reporting to those who received a PERS benefit in calendar year 2022.

1099-Rs will be mailed to your address on file at PERS. You can confirm your address is correct in Online Member Services (OMS).

PERS now accepting 2022
W-4P tax forms

The IRS revised its W-4P tax form in January 2022. PERS is now accepting the 2022 revised form.

If you wish to update your tax withholdings, use the PERS 2022 W-4P form for your membership type — Tier One/Tier Two or OPSRP.

If you recently submitted a 2021 W-4P version, note that PERS will process 2021 forms received by November 17. After November 17, PERS can only process the 2022 version.

​​​2023 cos​​​​​​t-of-living increase

​​If you are a PERS retiree or beneficiary receiving a monthly pension benefit, your annual cost-o​f-living adjustment​ (COLA) will ​into effect on July 1, 2023. You will see it reflected on your August 1, 2023, benefit payment and going forward.​
