08/03/18: The temporary restriction on boat operation on the Rogue River has been changed.  The temporary restriction is now in place between Dunn Riffle and the Galice boat ramp.  The Oregon State Marine Board advises non-motorized boaters to take out at or before the Hog Creek boat ramp due to the continued downstream restriction.
07/30/18: The Oregon State Marine Board has statutory authority to close waterways for boating safety.  The Marine Board temporarily closed the Rogue River from the Hog Creek Boat Ramp to Galice Boat Ramp in Josephine County on 7/30/18 due to the Taylor Creek Fire's proximity to the river.  Incident management teams requested the closure of the river to recreational boating during the timeframe necessary to fight the fire.
