This year, we’re helping the Oregon Unclaimed Property Program spread the word that all Oregon businesses are responsible for reporting unclaimed funds and property to the state by November 2, 2020.

Unclaimed funds are any amount of money that hasn’t been returned to a rightful owner—think uncashed checks, security deposits, unpaid wages or commissions, refunds, and more. Businesses report and remit unclaimed property to the state. The funds are held in one central location through the Oregon Unclaimed Property Program.

Oregonians can then search for their names on the registry to see if they are entitled to any unclaimed funds at https://unclaimed.oregon.gov.

If you have a business, it’s time to look through your records and identify unclaimed funds for this year’s reporting period. Learn more and meet the deadline to report and remit at https://unclaimed.oregon.gov/app/reporting-guidelines.
