NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULEMAKING

TEACHER STANDARDS AND PRACTICES COMMISSION
August 1, 2017
 
On June 20, 2017, the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission voted to refer the following proposed rules for public comment.  Public comment on the proposed rulemaking will be accepted until 5.00 p.m. on October 1, 2017.
 
The agency has scheduled a public hearing on the proposed rules for September 27, 2017 at 4 p.m. at the TSPC Salem Office: 250 Division St. NE Salem, OR 97301.
 
Comments on the proposed rules should be emailed to
prior to October 1, 2017 at 5 p.m.
 
The proposed rule changes will be considered for permanent rulemaking at the Commission’s meeting on November 2-3, 2017 in Salem, Oregon.

Allows educator who held a multiple subjects endorsement with a middle level authorization prior to July 1, 2015 to be eligible for a legacy middle-level endorsement.
 
Allows qualified holders of Basic and Standards licenses with an early childhood endorsement to qualify for the elementary multiple subjects endorsement.
