Oregon’s food programs help people get healthy meals. They may also offer nutrition education and training.

Help with groceries

SNAP food benefits

SNAP provides monthly benefits to help people and families buy food.

Summer EBT

Summer EBT is a grocery benefits program to help families buy food for their school-aged children during summer when school is out.

WIC Program

WIC is for children under age 5 and pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women. Foster parents and relative caregivers of a child under age 5 can apply for WIC.

Free food events

Meal programs

The Aging and Disability Resource Connection can help you find local meal programs, including Meals on Wheels. Most programs are free or low-priced.

Vouchers for seniors to use at farmers markets

Senior Farm Direct Nutrition Program

People age 62 or older who meet income requirements can get vouchers to buy fresh, local produce at participating farmers markets and stands. If you are eligible, you will get a letter in the mail in late April each year. The letter will tell you how to sign up.

To get free food through this program you will need to share your:

Name.
Zip code, city where you live, or "H" for homeless.
Household size.
That your income does not exceed 300 percent of the federal poverty guidelines.
That your household needs food.
That your household will not sell, barter, or trade food received through this program.
