Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) is the leading supplier in managed computing technology for Oregon state government. Our infrastructure is designed to offer the highest availability in Oregon for mainframe, storage and server-based applications.

ETS focuses on finding ways technology can enhance the state's business model to create opportunities for government. Technological advancements allow state business to serve customers in new ways, support growing service demands, increase trust in state government via value-added government services, and improve access to information to create new state service opportunities. Our network and voice services provide secure and reliable connection to the people.

New services such as providing new or replacing legacy enterprise applications are being added to our service portfolio. These services offer flexibility and choice aimed at meeting the varying needs of our government customers.

All services use best practice standards, meet federal and state requirements, and are maintained to ensure that the technology supporting the government's business is secure and reliable.

State Data Center Transition to ETS Current Topics
The State Data Center (SDC), the original service operation, was created in 2006 by agency directors and CIOs to leverage computing and network infrastructure technology across the state using a utility service model. The SDC provided computing services to numerous state agencies. Communications services were provided or brokered for most state agencies as well as some counties, municipalities, schools and tribes.

After building a successful business model for delivery of statewide IT services, the SDC was asked to grow its service offerings to meet technology capacity demand and to allow other government customers to buy from the existing scope of services.  These requests indicated a confidence in the service model to provide benefits and savings to both the buying customer as well as the state. The SDC operation expanded to include other enterprise technology services (ETS) such as statewide Finance, Payroll, E-Gov, and desktop support for DAS and other small agencies.
