|ETS Sustainability Program |
In 2006, the State Data Center (now Enterprise Technology Services), opened its doors. Over the last nine years, ETS has experienced substantial growth driven by increasing customer demand.
Our goal has been, and continues to be, to provide our customers with reliable, agile, and flexible IT service choices while simultaneously optimizing the states’ IT investments. Offering these services has proved to be a delicate balancing act between obtaining legislative funding for lifecycle hardware replacement and prioritizing current business needs.
ETS was granted funds by the Oregon Legislature in 2013 to begin a much needed hardware replacement project to include network hardware as well as remote and local ETS server hardware. ETS chose to broaden the focus of today’s hardware lifecycle replacement project by including considerations for sustaining next generation hardware replacement needs.
With these considerations, ETS decided to rebrand the lifecycle replacement project as the Sustainability Program. By implementing the Sustainability Program, ETS will be better positioned than ever to deliver reliable, efficient, and affordable services to our client agencies and the Oregon public for many years to come.
