Clothing Standard for TRCI visiting
 
1.     Visitors may NOT wear blue denim, light blue chambray shirts, dark navy blue t-shirts or dark blue sweatshirts or any other clothing that is similar to Inmate attire.
2.    No gang related clothing, paraphernalia or anything that causes undue attention or conflicts are prohibited. No shirts advertising alcohol, tobacco or drugs of any kind no shirts glorifying criminality.
3.    No metal claw clips or bobbie pins may be worn in the hair. Accommodations will be made on a case-by-case basis for religious head gear consistent with security practices. When possible, arrangements should be made prior to the visit
4.    No camouflage clothing, no BDU pants, no clothing with suggestive slogans, controversial slogans or statements.
5.    Dresses, skirts, and shorts (including those with slits) shall not be worn more than two (2) inches above the middle of the kneecap.  Wrap around skirts, dresses and tops are not permitted. Yoga pants, spandex or leggings will not be allowed unless they are worn under a shirt or dress that is no more than 2 inches above the middle of the kneecap. No spaghetti strap tops/dresses or racor back tops.  Tank top straps must be at least 2 inches wide. Tops must not have a plunging neck line.
6.    Hats are not permitted inside the visiting room.
7.     All visitors must wear under garments; Women must wear a bra, but should not wear an underwire bra, as it may set off the metal detector.
8.    Excessively loose or baggy clothing and sagging of pants are not allowed. Clothing that exposes undergarments or an undue amount of flesh (exposing chest, back, thighs, and mid sections) is prohibited.
9.    Light weight sweaters, hooded sweatshirts, jackets, suit or sport coats are permitted but must be worn during the entire visiting session unless you chose to hang them on the clothing rack outside of the visiting room. Any clothing worn into the visiting room must remain on at all times.
10.  Footwear must be worn at all times.

Inmate Phone Use

General and Workforce Population Inmates -- Phone Calls 
Inmates in General and Workforce Population are allowed to make telephone calls any day during the following hours: 
            8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. 
            1:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. 
            6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. 
Calls may last up to 30 minutes long. 


Minimum Population Inmates -- Phone Calls 
Inmates in Minimum Population are allowed to make telephone calls any day during the following hours: 
            7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. 
            1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. 
            6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. 
Calls may last up to 30 minutes long.

If there is a death in an inmate's family, the family may contact TRCI's Religious Services Department during business hours at the following numbers: Area Code (541) 922-2089 or 922-2086 or 922-2087. After 4:00 p.m. and on weekends and holidays call (541) 922-6058 or 922-2100 for assistance. Other emergencies should be directed to the inmate's counselor. Please call 922-2013 for assistance.

About TRCI: Two Rivers Correctional Institution’s groundbreaking occurred on April 5, 1997. The institution was substantially complete on March 10, 2000. Operation of the housing units was phased in between December 1999 and September 2001, when the last housing unit was occupied, for a total inmate capacity of 1,632. 

To lower costs and minimize inmate movements within the prison, it was designed to provide as many services as possible in the housing units. For instance, food trays are delivered to the housing units in heated carts. Outdoor activity yards are attached to each housing unit. Many programs are delivered on the housing units. 

TRCI is designated as an education/work facility for long-term inmates. The focus of its programs is Adult Basic Education and GEDs. Cognitive programs that teach and encourage self change are also available. Inside work activities include institution maintenance and a commercial laundry. 

The prison provides minimum-custody inmate work crews for community service projects. It also sends crews out daily for other work projects, under contract primarily to government agencies. Inmate crews also work on landscaping projects on prison property.
