▪  All You Can Eat Pancake Feed at Camp Rilea 
In support of the Governor's Food Drive, Camp Rilea and Clatsop Catering will host an All You Can Eat Pancake Feed, Friday, Feb. 17, 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., in the Mess Hall at Camp Rilea, Hwy. 101 near Seaside. Cost: $5.

▪  Salem Armory Hosting Self-Defense Course
The Not-Me Self Defense for a 2.5 hour self-defense course will be held at the Salem Armory from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 24.  Registration is limited to only 24 participants--first come first serve.  Cost: $5 and five cans of food or non-perishable food donations for the Governor’s Food Drive.

▪  Dedication, Book Sale-Signing at "The Bomber"  
Join The Wings of Freedom project Sat., Feb. 25, 10 am to 2 pm, for an open house-meet and greet to dedicate the Marty Frye library. Meet local authors, buy signed books. Tour the museum. Shop the PX for reduced prices on WWII themed books. The project is restorng and preserving the B-17 bomber, “Lacey’s Lady,” at 13515 SE McLoughlin Blvd, Milwaukie.

▪  Nisei Soldiers to Receive Congressional Gold Medal
Oregon's Nikkei Endowment and WWII Nisei Veterans will host a tribute luncheon on Sunday, Feb. 26, at 11:30 a.m., Portland's Multnomah Athletic Club, to commemorate the bestowing of the Congressional Gold Medal to local honorees for their service during WWII. Guest speaker: Lt. Gen. (ret.) Joseph Peterson, U.S. Army. All are invited.
 
RSVP by Feb. 17. Lunch is $50 or $25 for children under 12.

▪  Lacey's House Raffle to Support Homeless Veterans
Buy tickets to help raise funds for Oregon’s first and only privately funded, full-service home for homeless veterans and win a 1969 Chevy Nova.  Monies raised will allow Lacey’s House to provide 19 more beds and open another home to serve more veterans.
 
Get tickets at 530 S. 1st Ave., Hillsboro. Cost: $10 each or 20 for $100. Drawing is on Sept. 11.

▪  100th Infantry Division Members, Families to Meet 
Division members and their families are invited to meet, get acquainted and help organize future meetings in Oregon or the Northwest.

  10th Mountain Division Group Meets
Newcomers and old comrades from WWII to the present, and their descendants, are invited to meet on the last Wed. of each month.  Discussions include planning for maintenance, improvements and new planting for the 10th Mountain Memorial Grove.
