The Korean War Memorial (#1)
Built as a "shrine" for Oregonians who served in the Korean War, the memorial serves as a place for surviving Korean War veterans to visit, remember and reflect. The Korean War Memorial was the long-awaited dream of the Iron Triangle Chapter of the Oregon Korean War Veterans Association. The Oregon Army National Guard’s 1249th Engineer Battalion provided the site preparation and concrete work. The black, polished granite memorial was dedicated in 1999.
