2011 Oregon State Fair
Military Veterans' Appreciation Day
  
 
The Oregon State Fair is once again recognizing servicemembers and veterans. Veterans' Appreciation Day is slated for Tuesday, August 30. The Fair in Salem runs August 26 through September 5 and features free parking for all 11 days.

The Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs (ODVA) will staff a booth to meet and greet veterans attending the Fair.  The Fair will honor Oregon’s military servicemembers and veterans with free admission on Veterans’ Appreciation Day. Simply provide a copy of the 2011 Veterans Voucher at the gate for admission.
 
Big-name concerts will stage entertainers sure to light up the stars in the capital city of Oregon. Big stars include:

  • THE BAND PERRY 
  • THE JUDDS
  • SELENA GOMEZ 
  • SESSIONFEST
  • IL CiRCo VIAGGIO 
Veterans are urged to attend the Fair, especially on Veterans’ Appreciation Day! Call the Oregon State Fair at 503-947-3247 or go online to www.oregonstatefair.org for admission prices, hours, special discounts, and scheduled theme days. Discounts are available for those who purchase tickets in advance.
 
Ticket sales have begun through the State Fair and at all participating Safeway TicketsWest outlets, online at www.ticketswest.com.
