2008 Oregon State Fair
Military Veterans' Appreciation Days

The Oregon State Fair is once again recognizing servicemembers and veterans. Veterans' Appreciation Days is slated for Friday August 22 and Saturday August 23. The Fair in Salem runs through Sept. 1 (Labor Day) and features free parking for all eleven days.

The Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs (ODVA) will staff a booth to meet and greet veterans attending the Fair. The Fair will honor Oregon’s military servicemembers and veterans with free admission on Veterans’ Appreciation Days. Simply provide a copy of the 2008 Veterans Voucher at the gate for admission.

Big-name concerts will stage entertainers sure to light up the stars in the capital city of Oregon. Big stars include Tracy Lawrence, Gary Allan, Poison, Weird Al Yankovic, and
Willie Nelson. Concerts are held at the L.B. Day outdoor Amphitheatre and the Indoor Pavilion.

Veterans are urged to attend the Fair, especially on Veterans’ Appreciation Days! Call the Oregon State Fair at 503-947-3247 or go online at www.oregonstatefair.org for admission prices, hours, special discounts, and scheduled theme days.
