Veterans proudly show their pride in their military service in many ways including hats, jackets, shirts, banners and other ways.
Now they have another way to display that pride… on their vehicles. The Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs, in partnership with the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), have new graphic license plates for veterans.
These new plates offer an opportunity for veterans to proudly display their branch of service, or specific military honors earned while serving. These graphic plates display the American flag, the word “Veteran,” and any one of many possible icons including service medal and branches of service.
The new graphic plates are not available in custom (vanity or personalized) configurations. Veterans interested in purchasing a plate need to show their their proof of military service (Form DD-214 or DD-215). Procedes from plate sales are directed to a special Trust Fund for the Oregon Veterans' Home in The Dalles
