During the 2012 session the Legislature, through the passage of SB 1581, took action to direct all Oregon educational entities to enter into achievement compacts with the Oregon Education Investment Board (OEIB). The intent of these compacts is to track the achievement of various student outcomes as well as to set goals for key measures and outcome relating to student success.
The 2012-13 Community College Achievement Compacts were emailed to each college President on Thursday, April 12th and are posted on the OEIB website.
"Reverse Transfer" begins in Oregon Community Colleges
A new pilot program between Oregon’s public community colleges and universities will begin to offer students the option of obtaining a degree through “Reverse Transfer.” This recognizes students’ achievements with an associate’s degree after they have transferred to a 4-year school and have accumulated the credits needed to fulfill the 2-year degree program requirements.
