Brian Belleque, Interim Deputy Director
Brian Belleque is a 33-year DOC veteran, appointed as Interim Deputy Director in October 216. He began his career with corrections in June 1983 after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology from Southern Oregon State College. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant in 1990 and, in 1994, was promoted to Captain at the Oregon State Correctional Institution (OSCI) in Salem. In 1997 Belleque was promoted to Institution Security Manager at OSCI; in 1998 he promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Security at the Oregon State Penitentiary (OSP) in Salem; in 2013 he was named Superintendent of OSP; and since 2009 he has served as the Westside Institution Administrator.
Mr. Belleque's experience with this agency will be invaluable as we continue to focus on safety and security, accountability, and successful re-entry for those in our care and custody. He cares deeply about our team and is committed to improving the health and wellness of our corrections professionals who have one of the toughest jobs in public safety.
