Architectural, Engineering Firms chosen for Oregon's 2nd Veterans' Home

SALEM – The Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs (ODVA) has selected CB Two Architects and NBBJ Architecture as the architectural and engineering firms to provide architectural design, engineering and consulting services for the construction of Oregon’s second Veterans’ Home in Lebanon.
ODVA awarded a single contract using the RFP process. The initial contract period is through Dec. 31, 2014 when the home is anticipated to be completed. 
Oregon’s second veterans’ home will offer 150-beds for long-term care as well as rehabilitation services and Alzheimer’s and dementia care. Oregon existing veterans’ home is located in The Dalles.  
According to U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the state needs more than 900 skilled nursing beds for its aging veterans.  The existing veterans’ home has 151 beds, including 25 for dementia and Alzheimer residents.  The new veterans’ home will increase the total number of beds in Oregon to 301.
