Built as a shrine for Oregonians who fought in the Korean War, the Memorial serves as a place for surviving Korean War veterans to visit, remember and reflect. The Korean War Memorial was the long-awaited dream of the Iron Triangle Chapter of the Oregon Korean War Veterans Association. The black, polished granite memorial was dedicated in 1999.
