Jurisdictional Contacts

Jurisdictional Contacts

Each public body with public officials required by statute to file a Statement of Economic Interest (SEI) report with the Oregon Government Ethics Commission (Commission) must identify a single point of contact known as a Jurisdictional Contact (JC).  The JCs are responsible for explaining the filing requirements of ORS 244.050 to each newly elected or appointed public official serving the public body.

The JC's role also includes maintaining an up-to-date listing of their public officials in the Commission's Electronic Filing System (EFS). The Commission relies on the information provided by the JCs through the EFS to properly notify public officials of filing deadlines and other important information.

  • Important Note:  JCs must certify by February 15th of each year that the listing for their jurisdiction in the EFS is correct.

  • You may access the Electronic Filing System by clicking on this link or selecting the E-Filing tab at the top of this page.
