TBABS Loan Policy

Loan Policy Fact Sheet
 
 
 
     Braille, cassettes,  and specialized playback equipment will be loaned to eligible readers or institutions without charge.  One book or magazine must be checked out annually to maintain active status.
 
LOAN PERIOD:  Standard loan period for books and magazines is, six weeks for individuals, and three months for institutions.
 
EQUIPEMENT:   One piece of equipment per media may be loaned to each individual borrower.  One piece of equipment per media for each 4 borrowers may be loaned to institutions.  Equipment in need of repair should be returned to TBABS for a replacement.  We recommend that you call us before you return your equipment.
 
MAGAZINES:  Magazines are available in braille or cassette.  Subscriptions to NLS produced magazines will be started at the patron's request.  A magazine catalog is available for browsing.
 
PATRON RESPONSIBILITY:  Patron's will accept responsibility for caring for materials and equipment, and for returning them in a timely manner.  Patrons should notify the library of any changes that would affect their library service.
