Action Requested - 2025 State Airports Based Aircraft Update
The FAA has established the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS), which identifies approximately 3,300 airports in the US that are eligible for Federal funding under the Airport Improvement Program (AIP).
With the intent of maximizing funding to our airports, the Oregon Department of Aviation is updating the Based Aircraft database for the 28 State-owned airports it operates. A “Based Aircraft” is an aircraft that (1) spends a majority of the year (greater than 6 months) at any one of our airports, (2) is operational, and (3) is airworthy with a current FAA airworthiness Certificate.
Action Requested - Please send a complete and up-to-date list of all aircraft in your facilities that meet the criteria above to me at Anthony.beach@odav.oregon.gov by November 30th.
Update - Aurora State Airport Second Runway Closure Starting October 20th
