Job Description

Nursing assistants provide basic care and help patients with the activities of daily living.

Working Conditions

Most nursing assistants and orderlies work in nursing and residential care facilities and in hospitals. They are physically active and may need to help lift or move patients.

Minimum Qualifications

Apprenticeship applicants must be at least 18 years of age,  with proof of high school graduation or general education development (GED) equivalent.
