Job Description
IT Support Professionals provide assistance to computer users. They answer questions to help fix computer problems for clients either in person, over the phone, or electronically. Types of issues that IT Support Professionals may respond to include problems with computer hardware or software including printing, installation, email, word processing, or issues with operating systems.
Working Conditions
IT Support Professionals typically work in well-lit offices in comfortable surroundings or in computer laboratories or call centers. Most work at least 40 hours a week.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and have graduated from high school or have obtained a GED or equivalent certificate.<br><br>Some programs are only open to employees of training agents registered with local apprenticeship committees.
