Scaffold Erector Apprenticeship Opportunities

Job Description

Scaffold erectors erect scaffolding for buildings and ship structures. They install ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms and gangways, and erect, move, dismantle frame scaffolding, mobile tower scaffolding, tube clamp scaffolding and system scaffolding.

Working Conditions

The apprentice must be able to work at heights. Scaffold erectors use power tools and power lifts. Outdoor work can be in all types of weather. The apprentices must be physically strong and agile.

Minimum Qualifications

Apprenticeship applicants must be at least 17 years of age. In addition, they must provide proof of high school graduation or general education development (GED) equivalent.
